On hearing about the recent Delhi girl rape case, I felt outrageous. I haven't posted any new entry for a while now, but I was compelled to write about this because I think this is completely absurd. This issue lead me to think about those Indian traditional values where a girl is taught to wear full clothes, maintain some distance from the opposite sex or coming home early by 6'o clock. And that lead me to a question, a question that challenges all immorality, what are men taught? To disrespect women kind?
We have a culture of double standards, like in olden times when our civilization thought women should be thrown in to houses, not let her be a part of the outside world and is lesser than a man is. Its the fault of olden culture, customs and value that decided women always walk behind men. Why can't they walk together from shoulder to shoulder? There is still no women empowerment in our country. No respect, no protection, if she leaves her house, she goes out in a fear that if she would come back to her home respectfully.
Respect is all one seeks all his life. And their lust filled filthy eyes overlook it and do not think what will happen to her after they quench their lusty desires. Her respect, her pride, her life, her future everything tarnished and torn apart. They do not think what becomes of her after the assault. It just saddens me more that they overlook their mere existence is possible because of women and yet they do not have a bit of hesitation, its just shameful! I really wish to see the day when a girl goes out and breathe fresh air without any fear of getting raped or molested. Start respecting women and pray for a safe future for them.
The girl who was raped brutally, can't describe what pain she must have had to go through . It horrifies me to the core of my heart. She is undergoing many surgeries but question is even if she lives, what is her life after that. She won't be able to live a normal life. Where is all the humanity gone people? It is all so shameful. And government says they should be given life sentence? Yes being in a democratic country, we have to abide by the rule given on the paper. But what affect will it create amongst people? But government should set an example and give such a brutal punishment that even in their darkest dream nobody could commit such sin.
